We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established precision engineering aerospace company in the Reading area, who are looking for a Quality Engineer to join their team and increased production capabilities.

Quality Engineer responsibilities:

  • To aid and assist the production of First Article Inspection Reports and to be able to use a CMM.
  • Responding to and managing all NCR’s both Customer and internal and reporting them.
  • Liaise with customers/suppliers on all quality matters, queries, and non-conformances.
  • Undertaking monthly internal audits and report NCRs and 8D investigation.
  • Control all external and internal equipment calibrations.
  • Ensure all site related suppliers/sub-contractors have appropriate approvals and certification.
  • Collate, document and issue quality and delivery performance KPIs’, weekly and monthly to the management team.
  • Liaise with all levels of staff (management to shop floor) on all aspects of quality and continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Support the management in developing a “continuous improvement” culture.
  • Maintain current approvals for AS9100 & Nadcap.


Quality Engineer
requirements:

  • Experience of working within an aerospace or precision engineering environment.
  • Demonstrable experience of working with FAIRs, NCRs and 8D methodologies.
  • Experience of working to ISO9001 and AS9100 accreditations.

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established precision engineering company in the Basingstoke area, who are looking for a CNC Miller to join their late shift growing team and increased production capabilities.
CNC Miller responsibilities:

  • Setting and operating horizontal / vertical mills, monitoring the machining process, and making necessary adjustments to ensure accuracy.
  • Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments to verify conformance to specifications.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on CNC milling machines, such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn-out parts to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues or malfunctions that may arise during the machining process.

CNC Miller requirements:

  • Experience in setting and operating either horizontal or vertical mills within a manufacturing environment in using Fanuc or Mazak control languages.
  • Knowledge of machining principles and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Familiarity with a variety of materials, cutting tools, and machining techniques.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Adhere to AS9100/ISO9001 standards.
