As a Sunseeker Deck Fitter, you will have your work admired across the world as you build some of the world’s finest motor yachts.
 

 

As a Deck Fitter you will be:

 
– Working to fit components to the exterior of the yachts
– Cutting and trimming of GRP, drilling and tapping to secure components, drilling into a variety of materials – such as plywood, GRP and stainless steel
– Selecting, mixing and applying various types of bonding agents and sealants, including cosmetic mastics/silicones and underwater sealants
– Installing exterior hinges and marine components plus the occasional use of Gel Coat and applying finishing fairing compounds. Experience with engraving tools would be an advantage.
 
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 0700-1530
Overtime: There is almost unlimited overtime so you can earn well over £34k per year.
 

What attributes will you have?

 
– You need to be physically fit, able to manoeuvre in tight spaces.
– Able to read scaled drawings.
– Have your own tools.
– Have previous experience working with GRP.

– Take information from initial concept models or written brief to produce production drawings for components and sub-components within Siemens NX 3D Software & with the correct information within Teamcenter.

– Work within the Design Office protocols
 

The ideal candidate:

 
– Ability to read and understand drawings
– Understanding of CAD processes and lifecycle
– IT Skills are essential in 3D CAD, and Microsoft Office
– Experience and understanding of ERP systems, especially SAP
– Understanding of boat building techniques, processes and marine manufacturing methods
– Experience of Design and construction of Cabinetry & Furniture is beneficial but not essential

Your previous experience and skills will include:
