Mechanical Fitter

One of our top clients currently have an opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join their busy and growing Aerospace business. The company have been around for a number of years and have a full and stable order book.

As Mechanical Fitter you will be able to work on building precision assemblies using a range of hand tools and techniques, producing products for some of the globes biggest Aerospace clients.

Experience needed as Mechanical Fitter:

  • Previous experience within a similar position
  • Confident working with precision components
  • Knowledge of various hand tools and fitting techniques
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Positive can-do attitude
  • Good attention to detail

If you’re looking to secure a temporary to permanent position with a steadily growing business, then this job is for you.

Duties for the AOI Operator:

  • Process PCBAs through AOI equipment ensuring there are no quality escapes
  • Visual inspection as required
  • Assist in control of the QMS ensuring documentation is accurately maintained and updated as required
  • Assist QA/QC in monitoring and measuring company KPI’s
  • Assist QC Inspection with Goods In
  • Stage & Final Inspections of PCB’s,
  • Electrical & Electronic Assemblies.

Key Skills for the AOI Operator:

  • Industry Standard Inspection Qualifications (IPC) essential.
  • Awareness & understanding of ESD Controls.
  • Reading & understanding complex drawings and instructions.
  • Excellent communicator, written, IT and verbal, PC literate
  • Must be able to work under own initiative to solve problems.
  • Motivated, Good time management skills
  • Calm and collected with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Structured and logical approach to problem-solving.

Working hours are Monday to Thursday 07:30-16:30 & Friday 07:30-12:30
