Holt Engineering Recruitment are looking for a General worker to join out manufacturing client in Yeovil.

The General Worker will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day operations on our clients busy yard and stores.

The duties of the General Worker will include:

  • Maintaining a safe place of work, ensuring all activities conducted are in accordance with regulatory and company health & Safety policies.
  • General Housekeeping of the factories and plants.
  • General duties to assist RSC personnel on site.
  • Arrange and document routine inspections, replenishment and cleaning activities
  • Identifying and escalating any occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs 
  • Maintaining company vehicles
  • Keeping the yard and stores to a reasonable standard.
  • General maintenance of the building, equipment and plant 

The Successful General Worker will need:

  • A Driving License 
  • A Forklift License is desirable
  • A collaborative mindset and be able to work as a team or as an individual 
  • The Ability to multi-task and prioritise own workload

The key Responsibilities of a senior test technician:

  • Maintain QA records including calibration of test equipment, soldering iron’s and ESD control measures.
  • Control and maintenance of Portable appliance testing.
  • To assist the training of new test technicians on all products and mentoring work experience students.

Qualifications:

  • Must have Industry Standard Inspection Qualifications (IPC).
  • Awareness & understanding of QMS Disciplines IAW BS EN ISO 9001:2008 & AS EN 9100.
  • Awareness & understanding of ESD Controls.
  • Reading & understanding Complex Engineering Drawings & Instructions.

For a PCB Inspectort role we will require:
