Electro-Mechanical Fitter
Overall Purpose of Job:
The main purpose of the job is to conduct mechanical and/or electrical assembly of sub-assemblies and finished products to required internal and external specifications and standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Mechanical and/or Electrical assembly of a range of products for the Educational Engineering and Food Technology sectors
- Reporting feedback to Team Leader on job status
- Working with team members to improve working methods
- Support in the raising CR-E (Engineering Change Requests) and feeding back to engineering issues
- Supporting in the creation of standardised working practices
- Ensuring product is assembled correctly and on time, supporting production demand as required
- Ensuring that the safety of your colleagues remains uncompromised
- Assisting in booking of all units passed to test / stores and completion of necessary documentation
- Communicating effectively (issues / progress) with Team Leaders
- Assisting with Fault Finding and Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action events.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years production assembly experience
- Experienced and knowledgeable in the function and use of tooling required for mechanical or electrical assembly
- 5s experience (Preferred)
Basic computer skills – NAV / Excel / Outlook
