Electro-Mechanical Fitter 

Overall Purpose of Job:
The main purpose of the job is to conduct mechanical and/or electrical assembly of sub-assemblies and finished products to required internal and external specifications and standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Mechanical and/or Electrical assembly of a range of products for the Educational Engineering and Food Technology sectors
  • Reporting feedback to Team Leader on job status
  • Working with team members to improve working methods
  • Support in the raising CR-E (Engineering Change Requests) and feeding back to engineering issues
  • Supporting in the creation of standardised working practices
  • Ensuring product is assembled correctly and on time, supporting production demand as required
  • Ensuring that the safety of your colleagues remains uncompromised
  • Assisting in booking of all units passed to test / stores and completion of necessary documentation
  • Communicating effectively (issues / progress) with Team Leaders
  • Assisting with Fault Finding and Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action events.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years production assembly experience
  • Experienced and knowledgeable in the function and use of tooling required for mechanical or electrical assembly
  • 5s experience (Preferred)

Basic computer skills – NAV / Excel / Outlook
