CNC Operator

Salary: £30,000 – £40,000

CNC Operator responsibilities:

• Operating 5 axis and 3 axis CNC machining centres.
• Programming and interpretation of drawings.
• Creation of CNC drawings.
• Machine and plant maintenance.
• Quality control and checking of manufactured products.
• Design for Manufacture (DFM) thinking and analysis.

CNC Operator requirements:

• 3 years’ experience of working within a manufacturing environment.
• 3D CAD experience would be desirable.
• Understanding of construction and masonry drawings.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office packages.

Stonemason

Salary: up to £35,000 dependent on experience

Location: Totton

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a dynamic engineering company in the Southampton area, who are looking for a Stonemason to join their growing team and increased worldwide production capabilities.

Stonemason responsibilities:

• Shaping, polishing, mitreing and champfering a wide range of stone materials to drawings using various hand tools and machinery.
• Reading and interpreting templates, drawings and specifications to determine requirements.
• Laminating and expanding aluminium honeycomb for composite panel manufacture.
• Ensuring finished goods are inspected at regular intervals and in accordance with relevant procedures, ensuring products are produced to a high standard.
• Assist with general shop floor housekeeping and maintenance and day-to-day operations of the factory floor.
• General health and safety awareness and compliance with all H&S policies and procedures.

Stonemason requirements:

• Masonry background or experience of working in the stone industry ideally.
• Experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience working with hand tools and machinery.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office packages.
• Great interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to fit into a small team.

CNC Miller

Salary: £19-22 p/h dependent on experience

Location: Andover

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established precision engineering company in the Andover area, who are looking for a CNC Miller Programmer to join their growing team and increased production capabilities.

CNC Miller Programmer responsibilities:

• Setting, operating, and programming vertical mills, monitoring the machining process, and making necessary adjustments to ensure accuracy.
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments to verify conformance to specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks on CNC milling machines, such as cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn-out parts to ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues or malfunctions that may arise during the machining process.

CNC Miller Programmer requirements:

• Experience of setting and operating vertical mills within a precision manufacturing environment.
• Experience of offline programming with Hypermill Cadcam software.
• Knowledge of machining principles and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
• Familiarity with a variety of materials, cutting tools, and machining techniques.
• Able to read technical drawings and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

As a deburrer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and polished finish of aircraft parts, ensuring the highest quality and safety standards are met.

Key Responsibilites for a deburrer:

• Remove burrs and excess material from aircraft parts using hand tools, such as grinders, sanders, and files. –
• Inspect parts for any imperfections or discrepancies and make necessary corrections. –
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety guidelines and regulations. –
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks. –
• Follow technical drawings and specifications to accurately perform deburring activities. –
• Conduct regular quality checks to ensure all parts meet the required standards. –
• Communicate any issues or concerns to the supervisor or relevant team members.

Requirements for a deburrer:

• Previous experience in deburring or similar role preferred. –
• Knowledge of various deburring tools and techniques. –
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications. –
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision. –
• Good manual dexterity and physical stamina. –
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team. –
• Excellent time management and organizational skills. –
• Knowledge of safety regulations and adherence to safety guidelines. –
• Flexibility to work extended hours, including nights and weekends, as required. –
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

CNC Turner – The Company:
