Manufacturing Engineer Salary – £40,000 – £45,000

My client, a market-leader in products and services for aircraft interior are Looking for a well accomplished Manufacturing Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis. Utilising the best industry specialists, they manufacture, maintain, design and certify cabin interiors for the biggest airlines around. This is an opportunity you don’t want to miss!

 

 

Manufacturing Engineer Role and Responsibilities:

 

  • Develop and maintain production systems to meet product delivery goals within specified quality and cost parameters.
  • Enhance process efficiency and eliminate waste through continuous improvement initiatives employing lean techniques and value engineering.
  • Provide support for product design optimization for manufacturability and assembly.
  • Assist in product Computer-Aided Manufacturing/Engineering (CAM/CAE) activities.
  • Contribute to the selection and design of cutting tools, work holding tools, and moulds.
  • Develop and oversee validation plans to ensure technically sound solutions.
  • Manage project plans and budgets, identify capital equipment needs, analyse material usage, and troubleshoot problems while identifying opportunities for business improvement.

 

Manufacturing Engineer Requirements:

 

  • Familiarity with materials and the processes involved in manufacturing.
  • Understanding of fundamental design concepts.
  • Familiarity and practical exposure to analysis of failure modes and their effects, advanced planning for product quality, the approval process for production parts, and efficient manufacturing methodologies is considered advantageous. (FMEA, APQP, PPAP)
  • Practical understanding of aerospace-related products and their respective production methods.
  • Familiarity with the manufacturing of composite materials.
