Process Engineer
We are currently working with a global supplier of lightweight aluminium castings who feed into major automotive manufacturers around the world and are looking for a Process Engineer to join their team.
Responsibilities as a Process Engineer:
- Support rolling production plan.
- Full understanding of setting the die casting cell.
- Production robot program changeovers, back-ups and general overseeing.
- Shift handover meetings.
- Drive quality & OEE performance.
- Documentation of set-up paperwork and action reports.
- Reacting to quality issues.
- Maintaining the die cast process within set cycle times.
- Understanding and adjusting DCM parameters to achieve desired results.
Skills needed for Process Engineer:
- Good communication skills both oral & written.
- Reasonable computer skills.
- 3 years’ experience in high pressure die casting.
- Hard working, self-motivated, mobile and willing to take on whatever duties are required to meet the needs of the job.
- Facilitate and co-ordinate quality requirements, ensuring customer standards are met.
- Need to be attentive to detail and follow procedures set out.
- Support team members in identification of improvement activities and problem solving.
- Ensure all data collection is correct and time constraints are met.
- Ensure all quality procedures are implemented and adhered to.
- Maintenance and establishment of systems/procedures to control set-up recording and storage; cycle time review/cycle breakdown analysis; preventative maintenance; continuous improvements of system reliability.

- Shift pay £1.03ph for double days or £3.07ph for nights
