As the Quality Inspector / Mechanical Inspector:

The Company

The business supplies clients worldwide and generally doesn’t produce high volume batch work so you will always be working on interesting and varied projects for many different industry sectors including aerospace and defence.

The Role

Reporting to the quality manager you will be in the quality team which is made up of 3 inspectors one of whom is a trainee. You will have previous experience on mechanical inspection ideally on both machined components and sheet metal fabrications

  • You should have an understanding of AS9102 and be able to do FAIR’s
  • Be familiar with all manual inspection equipment – CMM would be a distinct advantage
  • Be able to perform in-process, first off and final inspection to ensure conformance to engineering drawings

Skills & Experience

As the Quality Inspector, you will be one of the go-to people in the quality department and as such need to have the following skills

  • The ability to communicate with all stakeholders
  • Engineering qualification and previous experience in an inspection role
  • A familiarity of FAIR’s, NCR’s etc
