Senior Design Engineer
We are currently partnering with a local manufacturing business in Dorset to support their plans for business growth, and part of that is the requirement for more skilled staff including this vacancy for a Senior Engineer.
A crucial role within the business, the Senior Engineer will support the company’s growth and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities as Senior Design Engineer:
- You play a big part in creating and implementing in new designs and new product designs for this growing and forward-thinking business.
- Be responsible for assisting with technical and knowledge support within the business for other departments and clients alike.
- Be able to work with products from cradle to grave, seeing the entire process through.
- Create and evaluate accurate technical documentation.
- Be able to conduct thorough stress analysis calculations and reporting, FEA, CFD
- Be part of the monthly focus meetings with other departments
Experience as Senior Design Engineer:
- Ideally you will have a Degree in Engineering or a relevant equivalent.
- Ideally you will have a bias towards mechanical engineering.
- You will be experienced within a lean manufacturing environment with an understanding of manufacturing processes and methods.
- A continuous improvement focused approach.
- Experience as Senior Design Engineer within an engineering business
- You must have a solid demonstrable understanding of 2d and 3d design and be experienced with stress analysis.
- You will be the kind of individual who thinks outside the box and applies a positive approach in the face of challenging situations.
