We are seeking a skilled Wire person to join our manufacturing team in Fareham.

As a Wire Person, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems.

Your responsibilities as a Wire person will include:

  • Wiring and Installation: Accurately read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to install and wire electrical components, circuits, and systems. This includes switches, outlets, lighting fixtures, and more.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and maintenance of electrical equipment and systems to identify and rectify issues promptly.
  • Compliance: Ensure all wiring and installations comply with local, state, and national electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
  • Testing and Quality Control: Conduct tests on electrical systems to identify faults, diagnose problems, and verify the quality of installations.
  • Safety: Adhere to strict safety protocols and guidelines to minimize risks to yourself and others while working with electrical systems and equipment.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including diagrams, maintenance logs, and service reports.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other team members, including electricians, engineers, and project managers, to ensure seamless project execution.

 Qualifications: To be successful Wire person, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a relevant vocational or technical training program is preferred.
  • Certification: Valid electrical certification or license as required by local regulations.
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Wire Person or similar role in the electrical field. Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and wiring techniques. Familiarity with electrical codes and regulations.
  • Skills: Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to work in physically demanding conditions, including climbing, bending, and lifting heavy objects.
  • Safety Consciousness: A commitment to safety and the ability to follow safety protocols rigorously.
  • Communication: Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues and clients.

The working hours are: Monday to Thursday 7.30-16.00 and early finish on the Fridays 14:30
Paying between £12.00 -£13.00 ph depending on experience + Overtime x1.5 !!
