Production Manager

A well-established engineering client of ours are currently on the hunt for an experienced Production Manager to join their growing business and run the workshop and all the amazingly skilled staff within it. The Production Manager will be able to enjoy working for a business that has built a solid reputation around delivering high quality solutions for a wide range of clients.
Production Manager responsibilities:
- Hold responsibility for the entire production area including manufacturing, assembly, and export of finished products.
- Identify and implement Lean Manufacturing process improvements through the production areas.
- Confidently lead and develop a mid-size team of skilled workers.
- Set, maintain, and enhance production performance through KPI’s.
- Maintain company standards and the requirements for those.
- Assist with constant reviews on the health and safety practices within the production areas.
- Strong involvement with the management of raw materials and supplier base.
Production Manager experience:
- Strong knowledge and / or background in sheet metal fabrication / welding.
- Proven ability to successfully lead a team and enhance performance in production.
- Understanding of ISO9001, EN1090 and FORS are highly desirable.
- Solid knowledge of Lean Manufacturing techniques and principles.
- Excellent levels of communication skills both verbal and written.
- Motivated to develop and lead staff to success.
