Quality Inspector Role Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting a diverse range of products and assemblies to ensure they meet our high standards of quality.
Quality Inspector Responsibilities
- First article inspection
- Using standard hand-held measuring equipment to measure to a high level of accuracy and precision
- Come from a Welding/Fabrication background
- Producing reports and document findings
- Recommending necessary adjustments and changes to manufacturing processes
- Working from specifications/technical drawings

Senior Quality Assurance Engineer
We are currently partnering with an innovative Precision Engineering business in Weymouth that for the last 45 years has been at the forefront of developing the strongest reputations for delivering quality components. They offer high-end engineered and manufactured solutions for the aerospace industry and other sectors. They boast a highly skilled team and are now recruiting for a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join them.
As Senior Quality Assurance Engineer you will oversee and manage the inspection team, leading the relationship between Inspection, Quality, and the rest of the business.
Key responsibilities as Senior Quality Assurance Engineer
- Oversee measurement and verification of products and processes.
- APQP, SPC, and FAR creation control
- Drive Continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support implement and monitor all QA systems to ensure compliance as required.
- Manage offline programming to support production and inspection.
- Assist with NPI ProjectsDevelop and mentor the team, managing and skill straining required, including shop floor inspection tools and techniques
Experience as Senior Quality Assurance Engineer:
- A sound knowledge of products and processes used in the manufacture of aerospace parts and assemblies.
- Experience programming of relevant equipment, CMM’s, Faro Arms
- Experienced in striving for continuous improvement.

- 39-hour week including a half-day Friday

An exciting opportunity for a skilled Quality Inspector has opened up at a well known aerospace company who are based just outside of the Winchester area. The company have been operating for over 50 years and due to the nature of their industry and the complexity of the work every aspect of the manufacturing process must conform to aerospace standards. In terms of the position, the company are ideally looking for someone with a high level of inspection experience within the aerospace sector and are ideally looking for someone to take over as the team leader of the inspection department.
Skills needed for Quality Inspector
– Ability to complete F.A.I.Rs
– Previous experience within the aerospace industry is essential
– Supervisory experience
– Able to process first/stage and final inspection of machined components, assemblies and fabricated part
– Working knowledge of Nadcap required
– Solid working knowledge of AS9100 & AS9102
– Fabrication inspection experience
Salary for Quality Inspector
– DOE – £35,000 TO £40,000
Working hours for Quality Inspector
– Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm
