Service Engineer 

An exciting opportunity has opened for a skilled service engineer at a company based just outside of Southampton. The company itself specialise in saw machinery and due to demand they are currently looking to expand their growing team with a full time electrical/mechanical engineer. 

Skills needed for Service Engineer 

  • Mechanical Engineering: 3 years (Required)
  • Proven experience and preferably with qualifications in electronic or electrical engineering 
  • Problem solving and well organised 
  • Sound working knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics 
  • Knowledge of of bandsaws, circular saws, edge banders, panel saws, sanding machines and CNC machines (Highly preferable)
  • Driving license 
  • Installation and commissioning of new and used (light and heavy duty) machinery
  • Routine machine maintenance and servicing, including fault finding and solutions, this includes contacting relevant suppliers for parts
  • Cleaning and refurbishment of used machinery for resale
