Service Engineer 

An exciting opportunity has opened for a skilled service engineer at a company based just outside of Southampton. The company itself specialise in saw machinery and due to demand they are currently looking to expand their growing team with a full time electrical/mechanical engineer. 

Skills needed for Service Engineer 

• Mechanical Engineering: 3 years (Required)
• Proven experience and preferably with qualifications in electronic or electrical engineering 
• Problem solving and well organised 
• Sound working knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics 
• Knowledge of of bandsaws, circular saws, edge banders, panel saws, sanding machines and CNC machines (Highly preferable)
• Driving license 
• Installation and commissioning of new and used (light and heavy duty) machinery
• Routine machine maintenance and servicing, including fault finding and solutions, this includes contacting relevant suppliers for parts
• Cleaning and refurbishment of used machinery for resale

JOB TITLE: Customer Service Administrator

DEPARTMENT: Customer Service 

RESPONSIBLE FOR: Customer Support and Order Fulfillment

PAY: £12.91P/H

Job Summary:

This role requires the candidate to provide front line Customer focused service to all Distributors and End User Customers, as well as, internal support to external sales teams and managers.

 Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out all administrative tasks
• To follow up with orders
• To ensure incoming orders are entered onto system accurately and in a timely manner.
• Answer all manner of enquiries relating to the complete product range across all CFT Brands.
• Prepare and check Export paperwork.

General Tasks:

• Liaise with other departments to process orders effectively.
• Liaise with Sales Teams regarding new enquiries and sales leads.
• Liaise with Quality Control regarding any returns or quality issues.
• Assisting with raising Invoices for shipped goods and Credit Notes for any returned goods.
• Raising Quotations for new enquiries and sales leads.
• Liaise with various departments to answer technical queries received via telephone, email etc.
• Liaise with the Shipping department regarding any special shipping or delivery instructions.

Knowledge Required:

• Fully Computer literate, ideally with experience of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Microsoft Navision.
• General Product Knowledge preferred.
• German language skills Personal Specification/Essential Qualities:
• Good communication and telephone manner.
• A logical mind with good common sense.
• High level of concentration

Are you an experienced Warehouse Operative with a Order Picker License ? 

This role is based in Poole working a day shift and paying £11-£11.50ph 

What the Order Picker role will offer you:

We have a permanent vacancy for a mechanical assembler to work for a business based in Poole.  You will be working in a great business that has a very low turnover of staff and a very friendly atmosphere.
 
If you have previous electro/mechanical assembly experience and if you have worked with glues, resins or electrical potting materials this role could be perfect for you.
 
The electro/mechanical assembler will:
 

• Assemble probes used in the maritime sector by following engineering drawings
• Test the probes to ensure they are set up accurately (training provided)
• Fit probes into waterproof housings and fill with resin (potting) to provide watertight protection

 
As the Electro/mechanical assembler you will need:
 

• Some mechanical assembly experience

Lead Sales Designer

We are currently partnering with a large high quality engineering construction business who work with well-known Nationwide clients in the Residential, Defence, Education and Health care Sectors. Their flexible can-do approach has contributed to continued growth, and they are now looking for a Lead sales designer to join the team.
As Lead Sales Designer you will be responsible for creating an interpretation of the clients needs. Taking ownership of the live project by adopting an efficient approach- using the MMC system. You will ensure designs are functional and compliant with regulatory requirements as well as within budget.
 
 Key responsibilities as Lead Sales Designer:

• Prepare site plans, layouts, sections, and evaluations and then presenting the designs proposals for build ability, quality, performance, and commercial considerations.
• Support the Sales team and liaise with clients to develop their aspirations
• Meet with construction professionals and clients to discuss feasibility of designs
• Create detailed drawings, schedules and materials specifications for costing and procurement purposes on live projects
• Monitor the progress of the construction scheme throughout its various phases keeping projects, on time, within budget and meeting any compliance
• Site visiting to review proposed locations for building, surveying, and monitoring ongoing progress of works if required
• Resolving issues that come up during design and construction phase

Experience as Lead Sales Designer:

• Understand construction technologies
• Ideally Degree level in a Construction, Architectural, or Engineering related subject however HNC/HND will be considered

• Have an Engineering background and an in depth understanding of how buildings are constructed. Drawing Office or Architectural practice and meeting the demands of designing for manufacturing
• Thorough knowledge of Building Regulations and other legislative
• Excellent visualisation and communication skills that encourage good relationships with colleagues and other professionals
• To be able to produce detailed drawings, models, and layouts in collaboration with Architects, Structural Engineers, and MEP Consultants.
• Must have 3D Software experience to create a unified model that all disciplines and trades can use to complete their work
• Produce schedules, cutting lists and BOM’s for purchasing from the Revit model
• Create accurate and concise working and installation drawings for both factory and site operatives
