Nightshift CNC Turner 

An oppoprtunity has opened up in the Portsmouth area to join a well established precision engineering company who have been operating for over 40 years and manufactuer a very unique product which has a world wide reputation. The ideal CNC Turner must be able to set/operate CNC lathes using Fanuc controls but an understanding of XYZ Prototrack controls and Heidenhain is highly desierable too.
 
Essential skills needed for CNC Turner

  • Must have right to live and work in the UK *Essential*
  • Must have a clean criminal record *Essential*
  • Must be able to set and operate CNC lathes using FANUC *Essential*
  • Knowledge and use of manual measuring equipment
  • Understanding of drawing tolerances and specifications

 
Desirable Skills for CNC Turner 

  • Security Clearance
  • CNC Programming both online and offline
  • Use of XYZ Prototrack controls and Heidenhain 


Hours for CNC Turner

  • Monday to Wednesday – 3.30pm to 1.30am
  • Thursday – 3.30pm to 11.30pm

We are currently working in partnership with a best-in-class successful complex component manufacturing company that provide global services. Due to their continued success and internal promotions, they are looking for a CNC Turner Programmer to join their busy machining department.

CNC Turner Programmer responsibilities:

  • Programming, setting and operating 2-axis CNC lathes using Mazak controls.
  • Ability to adjust machine offset coordinates to correct manufacturing environments.
  • Good knowledge in tool setting and tooling requirements.
  • Ability to adjust machine offset coordinates to repeat manufacturing requirements.
  • Comfortable performing inspection on components using manual measuring tools.
  • Work and promote the culture of continuous improvement, 5S and Lean manufacturing standards.

CNC Turner Programmer requirements:

  • Minimum of three years previous experience of programming within a precision machining centre is essential.
  • Used to working to tight tolerances on all types of materials.
  • Ability to use measuring equipment including: micrometers, height gauges, comparators, bore clocks.

Location: Portsmouth

We are currently working in partnership with an extremely successful subcontract manufacturing company that provide global services in precision machining. Due to their continued success, they are looking for a CNC Miller Programmer to join their busy machining department.

CNC Miller Programmer responsibilities:

  • Programming, setting and operating CNC machines using Fanuc controls.
  • Prove out CNC programs ensuring the highest quality is maintained and the machining processes are running efficiently to maximise productivity.
  • Programme parts using SolidCam.
  • Maintaining highest quality throughout the process using a variety of measuring equipment.
  • Work on their own initiative and accurately to time specific requirements.
  • Work and promote the culture of continuous improvement, 5S and Lean manufacturing standards.

CNC Miller Programmer requirements:

  • Previous experience of programming within a precision machining centre is essential.
  • Offline programming with SolidCam would be preferred.
  • Working with customer drawings, files, and specifications to create CNC programs, set and operate with minimum supervision.

We are currently on the lookout for a skilled maintenance technician for a specialist company based in the Portsmouth area. The ideal candidate will have a good knowledge of repairing and maintaining manufacturing machines. A thorough knowledge of fault finding of electrical systems and PLC programs would be highly advantageous. 

Skills needed for Maintenance Technician
