Product Manager Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive product strategies for our piping solutions, aligned with the company’s overall goals and market trends.
  • Conduct thorough market research and competitor analysis to identify customer needs, emerging trends, and potential gaps in our target markets.
  • Work closely with the engineering team to conceptualise, plan, and execute the development of new piping solutions.
  • Collaborate on product design, prototyping, testing, and validation to ensure high-quality and reliable products.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams, including engineering, production, business development, marketing, and suppliers, to conceptualise, design, and develop innovative products solutions that meet customer demands and business objectives.
  • Determine appropriate pricing strategies that align with market dynamics and ensure product profitability.
  • Analyse cost structures and pricing models to maximise revenue while meeting customer expectations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely sourcing of high-quality materials and components for our piping solutions.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to gather feedback, insights, and requirements for piping products, ensuring they are optimised for user satisfaction.
  • Plan and execute successful product launches for our piping solutions, collaborating with the marketing team to develop effective go-to-market strategies, messaging, and promotional materials.
  • Contribute to campaigns that drive excitement and adoption in the market.
  • Develop and provide product support data and tools for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Continuously monitor the performance of piping products, gather data, and analyse metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimisation.

Product Manager Desired Skills and Requirements:

  • Recognised Product Management qualifications and/or degree in mechanical or production engineering disciplines. Or a proven track record and practical experience in related roles.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively collaborate with diverse teams, stakeholders, and suppliers.
  • Familiarity with mechanical piping solutions and polymer technologies and their implementation within our target markets would be advantageous – including district energy, critical infrastructure, off-site fabrication and chemical/hazardous drainage.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams, manage projects, and deliver results.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
  • A passion for innovation and to champion our product and service offerings.

  • Knowledge of/ competent use of investigative techniques: internal auditing, 8D, DMAIC, the 5 Why’s and other Lean measurement tools
  • Knowledge of/ competent use in APQP project processes, DFMEA, PFMEA, Quality Control plan and process flow mapping
  • Knowledge of competency in Supplier related Quality practices and Processes: PPAP, ISIR and supplier related Practices and Processes PPAP, ISIR and Supplier Quality Assessments
  • 6 months plus experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
  • Experience working independently to see Quality concerns through to resolution in full
  • Capability to be an advocate for Quality and process improvement.
  • A strong effective communicator who can liaise professionally with all levels of staff and management, both internally and externally

Experience as Senior Engineer:

  • Degree level education in Engineering
