CNC Miller Role:

• Well-practiced using Heidenhain controls
• A proven background as a CNC Miller in the aerospace, defence or similar industry.
• Able to program a 5-axis mill
• Experienced inspecting your own work to ensure it matches the company’s high standard
• Work to technical drawings
• Excellent problem-solving skills will be needed for the more complicated job
• Mon – Fri with an early finish on Fridays
• 5 weeks holiday + bank hols
• Overtime @ 1.5x when available
• Free on-site parking

Project Manager

We are partnering with a world class solutions provider who offer exceptional service and system support to a large client base that includes aerospace, defence, rail & transport, as well as telecoms. Delivery successful engineering solutions to exact requirements are our client’s priority. They are currently looking for two Technical Project managers.

As Project Manager you will come from a Design engineering background and have experience working in SME’s. Our client will also look at Engineers who are looking for their first formal project manager role, as well as experienced project managers who are looking to continue their careers, managing a variety of projects in a dynamic and fast paced environment. Project Managers will actively drive their project forward. Rolling their sleeves up and getting stuck in with the project teams and join in with the engineering at times, as necessary.

The role would suit someone who is looking to rise to project management challenges but still would like some engineering involvement.

 
Project Manager
 
Key responsibilities as Project Manager:

• Provide Design Engineering and technical input on quotes and projects as required.
• Communicate effectively within the project team, the customer, and internal departments.
• Understand Client needs, issues and managing expectations.
• Work closely with the account manager.
• Conduct regular project reviews with key personnel.
• As project Manager you will own the project from start to finish
• Managing costs and budgets throughout the project
• Formal planning and scheduling tasks and resources in good time (including sufficient notice to other internal departments such as manufacturing)

Experience as Project Manager:

• Minimum of 5 years industry related experience in a technical engineering role
• Project Management experience (ideally in development test equipment)
• Relevant formal engineering design qualifications
• Project Management qualification preferable but not essential
• Possess all requirements for successfully meeting formal SC
• Proven experience of managing change well
• Able to contribute and support continuous improvement iniatives

Senior Electronic Design Engineer

They are currently looking for a Senior Electrical and Electronic Design Engineer to join their already strong team.
 
The Senior Electrical and Electronic Design Engineer will be responsible for the conceptual design and flow-down of work packages and successful product realisation.  This role will provide technical support and training to less senior EE engineers.
 
 The Senior Electronic Design Engineer
 
 Key responsibilities as Senior Electronic Design Engineer:

• General electrical/ Electronic design specifications for team members
• Prepare cost estimates for quotes
• Acting in the capacity of a lead technical engineer on projects including generating electrical/ electronic design specifications for team members
• Design PCB’s when necessary
• Communicate with customers and project engineers to clarify requirements/ meet design specifications
• Identify and support timely development of “fit for purpose” electrical drawings and electronic documentation
• Sign off manufacturing drawing pack (readiness to build)
• Work closely with manufacturing dept
• Running and supervising testing

Experience as Senior Electronic Design Engineer:

• Formal engineering qualification in electronic/ electrical design
• Min 5 years related industry experience
• Possess all requirements for successfully meeting formal Security Check criteria
• Experience of testing diagnostic equipment
• Experience of designing analogue and digital interface circuits
• Experience in Power Engineering an advantage
• Experience with National Instruments hardware/software an advantage

• IBM DOORS, Enterprise Architect, UML/ SysML
• Educated to a degree level or equivalent in engineering.
• Knowledge and understanding of systems engineering principles and their application to multi-disciplinary engineering projects.
• Familiarity with Defence Standards (particularly DEF-STAN and MIL STD)
• Preferably have a sound knowledge of military systems, ideally maritime systems. Highly regulated industries such as Aerospace, Nuclear or Rail
• Experience with system architectural design and development using Model base systems engineering techniques.

My client a well developed and reputable sheet metal company  have a position for a Sheet Metal Assembler, Pemserter/Spot welder

The successful candidate will have experience working in a sheet metal environment,
& able to work under their own initiative with minimal supervision.

The candidate will need the ability to confidently read engineering drawings & will require the following sheet metal skills:
· Setting of Pemserter
· Operating of Pemserter
· Operating of Spot welder or willing to learn
· Insert fittings into sheet metal work
· Assembly
The initial rate of pay is dependent on experience.
The working hours are Mon-Thur 7.45am-5:00pm and Fri 7.45am-12:45pm
